George B’s New Book, “Ira”, is a Thrilling Tale of Espionage and Schemes Within Politics and the Government
AVONDALE, Ariz. (PRWEB) March 28, 2018 -- George B, a native of California, an army veteran, a graduate of Lampson College in Phoenix and of Minneapolis ABI Christian College, and a global manager at IBM, has completed his new book “Ira”, a suspenseful novel about a CIA agent who finds himself dealing with conspiracies, threats, and questionable methods that test his allegiance.
Author George B writes a narrative mirroring the perils of working for organizations with clandestine motives: “Ira woke up early the following morning. He called the office and spoke to Angie, his administrative assistant. Of course, there were dozens of messages, and Sherman wanted to see Ira as soon as he got to the office. Sherman was the director of the CIA Counterterrorism Office on international terrorism out of Virginia. Sherman treated Ira fair, but Ira didn’t trust him. No one really knew much about Sherman—where he came from or what he did previously before running what Ira considered a very benign and boring branch of the CIA. See, Ira was old-school. He worked as a field agent back in the days when hunting down leads, bribing and blackmailing a clearly defined enemy, and killing the enemy were part of the covert organization’s duty. Gathering intelligence and working angles, infiltrating organizations and enemy camps, and seeing real-time results—those were what Ira missed. It seemed meaningful and important to our national security.”
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, George B’s breath-catching book presents the reality of looking at both sides of the coin to conjure the truth—but even that cannot be attested—and put on efforts to thwart plans that threaten the nation’s security and safety.
Readers who wish to experience this compelling work can purchase “Ira” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble.
