Cotney Construction Law Participates in NRCA's Roofing Day
TAMPA, Fla. (PRWEB) March 22, 2018 -- Roofers from across the nation came together for Roofing Day, the largest advocacy event of its kind, hosted by the National Roofing Contractors Association in Washington, D.C. on March 6 & 7, 2018. This event provided roofers an opportunity to meet with members of Congress and their staff to discuss important legislative issues relevant to the industry. The event drew over 400 roofing professionals from 48 states, and as a whole, the group met with 87% of the Senate and House Representatives.
Cotney Construction Law sent five attorneys to the Capitol to help make sure the voices of roofers were heard by Congress. These attorneys met with the offices of Senators Bill Nelson and Marco Rubio as well as their respective representatives to discuss three key industry issues: immigration reform, workforce redevelopment, and regulatory reform.
“The Roofing Industry is a force to be reckoned with, and that was demonstrated by the large turnout of roofing professionals that came together to advocate for the industry,” said Trent Cotney, CEO of Cotney Construction Law. “This was a monumental event that will push for political reform to benefit the industry as a whole. It is important that our industry continues to participate in events like these so that we can deliver our message to Congress as a unified front.”
