Former Amazon executive John Rossman is most known for launching and scaling the Amazon Marketplace business, which now accounts for over 50% of all Amazon units sold and shipped. While at Amazon he also served as Director of Enterprise Services at Amazon.com, where he managed worldwide services to enterprise clients. Rossman is the author of The Amazon Way: 14 Leadership Principles Behind the World’s Most Disruptive Company, and an expert in digital strategy and innovation, helping his clients build and execute innovative business models. In the recently released second edition of his first book, Rossman had this to say in the new prologue:

“My goal in writing The Amazon Way was to offer insights and actionable techniques to increase company speed, improve accountability, create clarity, and innovate customer experiences.

Since publishing the book in June 2014, I’ve collaborated with hundreds of teams and leaders, applying lessons from the book to their cultures and businesses. What I didn’t expect was the feedback, the energy – and, quite frankly, the frustration that accompanied the process of creating change.
