We are creating tools that make salivary bioscience better.

Earlier today, Salimetrics launched a new, redesigned website, rebuilt to align the support researchers need with the steps researchers go through when performing salivary bioscience research. “As we continue to grow with the salivary bioscience community, we are creating tools that make salivary bioscience better,” says Hans Schroeder, Salimetrics CEO. “That means better collection methods, better assays, better testing services, and with this website, a better design that supports the community and makes the process easier for investigators.”
“The Salimetrics team focused on organizing content in ways that present a large amount of information using a clean, efficient design,” says Steve Granger, Ph.D., Salimetrics CSO. “Researchers will have a clear path to follow and a more comprehensive understanding of the company’s mission and how it supports the salivary bioscience workflow.”
“The key take-away that we want researchers to experience is confidence in their salivary bioscience research,” says Supriya Gaitonde, Ph.D., Salimetrics Senior Applications Scientist. Salimetrics extends expert support at all stages of the salivary bioscience workflow, and researchers are encouraged to take advantage of that support to guarantee that they will get the best results. "Our mission from Day 1 has been to standardize salivary research tools and support investigators with the best, most scientifically credible methods that deliver the highest quality results. It’s important to know that Salimetrics is willing to take this journey with you and to support your study in an impactful way.”
One feature of the new website is an interactive My Study Plan / Quote Builder. This online study builder helps researchers by automatically calculating inputs such as number of samples, number of kits, and number of supplies needed, as well as mapping out a solid plan for integrating the saliva-based component into their research. “We are excited because we designed this feature to be integral to how researchers organize their salivary bioscience study plan,” says Dr. Gaitonde. Continuous improvements to the new builder will feature a flagging system that will automatically identify compatibility errors in collection methods, analytes, and other selected options, as well as a summary that can be provided to study coordinators, technicians, or other team members. Each study summary is also reviewed by one of Salimetrics’ Technical experts to identify any selection which may introduce error into the study, so the more complete a study plan is, the better additional support provided by Salimetrics can be.
Salimetrics invites researchers to explore the new website. As researchers will hear from everyone at Salimetrics, “It’s important that the best results are achieved, because the whole field can only benefit from scientific excellence. Salimetrics is here to support each and every researcher and provide a level of confidence that no other salivary bioscience partner can.”
Salimetrics’ assay kits and CLIA-certified testing services are used to measure salivary analytes related to stress, behavior and development, inflammation, sleep, reproduction, health and immune function. Founded in 1998 by Douglas A. Granger, Ph.D., Salimetrics, LLC supports CROs, pharmaceuticals, academic researchers and the immunodiagnostic industry around the world with innovative immunoassay products, non-invasive saliva collection methods, and laboratory testing services.
