Bibliotech and Willo Labs Improve Student Success by Scaling Digital Delivery on Campus
CHICAGO (PRWEB) March 27, 2018 -- Bibliotech, a leading provider of digital content, and Willo Labs, a leading digital delivery platform, recently partnered to give students frictionless access to education content by removing the hurdles of integrating with multiple delivery solutions.
“We’re thrilled to scale digital delivery through our partnership with Willo Labs,” said Roberto Torreggiani, VP of Sales at Bibliotech. “The concept of Inclusive Access, or providing access to educational content on the first day of class, has become a buzz term in the higher education industry, but the problem with digital delivery is much larger than Inclusive Access alone can solve. Through our partnership with Willo, we will not only be able to provide students with content from top publishers on an easy-to-use, fully accessible platform, but we can do so through a single integration with the university. Having one integration greatly reduces the 6-18 month integration lag time currently seen at the university level; allowing the university to scale digital adoptions quickly.”
Bibliotech and Willo Labs will deploy their digital delivery solution for courses launching in fall 2018 across North America. The partnership will connect all of Bibliotech’s digital learning products to all Learning Management Systems (LMS) through a single integration. Students receive access to content from their LMS, or their campus bookstore. Students will not need access codes and will not need to register multiple products.
“There is a lot of friction associated with learning and accessing content through multiple connection points,” Torreggiani continued. “With Bibliotech and Willo Labs, it’s a single integration that still provides all the valuable tracking and usage data universities need to make decisions to improve student outcomes.”
According to a recent PIRG study, 65% of students are not able to afford all of their required texts. 94% of students that are not purchasing required texts are worried that not having their material will negatively impact their classroom performance. Universities are turning to digital as a way to bring down the cost of textbooks, while still offering an enriching learning experience.
“With our Bibliotech partnership, we’re excited to bring to universities what is the first truly complete, scalable solution for both ebooks and courseware,” said Kate McKain, President and Co-founder of Willo Labs. “With our combined technologies, schools can plug, play, grow and manage their digital footprint without any of the surprise challenges on total automation, scaling and reporting. And for students, we are finally bringing a consumer-grade experience to digital learning. Today’s learners get registered for Instagram with one touch. Together, Willo and Bibliotech are enabling schools to bring that same instant access experience to digital learning materials, with real-time data to report the impact.”
“The Bibliotech platform is the first of its kind on the market today,” said David Sherwood, CEO of Bibliotech. “We provide publishers with the opportunity to choose business models to suit their content and strategy. This enables us to offer students and universities flexible and affordable options for course materials, and partnering with Willo Labs allows us to bring an even more seamless experience to students. Once a student enters the platform, they can access their course content on any device via a browser or our application, even offline and have the ability to engage with features designed for all students, including our proprietary search and recommendation engine and built-in text-to-speech.”
Bibliotech works directly with leading educational publishers to digitize their content and education products. The company already has partnerships with top universities in the United Kingdom, and with Willo Labs’ relationships with leading universities in the United States, they will together be able to expand student access to an affordable, seamless, and integrated learning experience.
