Emergency Water Supplier Water Direct Shortlisted for 2018 CIR Business Continuity Awards
(PRWEB UK) 27 March 2018 -- The CIR Business Continuity Awards recognises companies and individuals that stand out in the areas of business continuity, security, resilience and risk including Water Direct and its unique WaterTight™ Water Supply Contingency Planning service.
Water Direct’s submission highlighted the company’s strides in promoting and facilitating best practice in water contingency planning for UK businesses and organisations. Since the opening of the UK water market in 2017, Water Direct has forged emergency supply partnerships with 90% of the UK’s newly-formed water retailers.
The importance of water contingency planning was highlighted during this month’s extreme weather conditions, which resulted in Water Direct assisting water suppliers with the delivery of more than 11 million litres of emergency water to UK homes and businesses in less than one week.

The winners of the 2018 CIR Business Continuity Awards will be announced at a black-tie ceremony taking place at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square on Thursday, 7 June 2018.
