Federal Resources Announces “Warrior’s Legacy Scholarship Fund” To Benefit Children of Military, First Responders, and Law Enforcement Officers
Stevensville, MD (PRWEB) March 30, 2018 -- Federal Resources, a leading provider of quality products and mission-critical solutions to military and first responders, announced today that the company has founded an annual scholarship fund which will award a scholarship valued at $5,000 to a college-bound high school senior or currently enrolled college student that is a child of a First Responder, Law Enforcement Officer, or Armed Forces servicemember.
The Federal Resources Warrior’s Legacy Scholarship Fund committee will select a winner based on their academic grade point average, enrollment in an accredited academic institution, relationship to a servicemember, and response to the essay question outlined in the online application. The goal of the scholarship fund is to give back to those who put their lives on the line for us each and every day. While there is no way to fully repay someone for their remarkable service and bravery in defending our country and our freedoms, Federal Resources has developed the Warrior’s Legacy Scholarship Fund as a way of showing our support and gratitude for these remarkable individuals and to provide financial assistance to the rising costs of a college education for their children.
Federal Resources CEO, Robert McWilliams, said about the scholarship, “We are excited to announce the Warrior’s Legacy Scholarship Fund, which reflects the importance of education in our youth and allows Federal Resources to support our warfighters while they continue to protect us all. It is critical for this program to reflect our values here at Federal Resources which include Integrity, Determination and Service. We are dedicated to providing world-class solutions and equipment to servicemembers everywhere, but are honored to have the opportunity to assist in developing those who will shape our future.”
The funds can be used to pay for a myriad of needs to allow these students to focus on their academic success without financial pressure. The new scholarship program will launch in time for the 2018-2019 academic year. All students that can verify their parent/guardian’s servicemember status, grade point average, and enrollment in an accredited academic institution are eligible for consideration based on their completed application, completed no later than May 31, 2018.
