Boca Woods Country Club Approves $14.5 Million Renovation
BOCA RATON, Fla. (PRWEB) March 31, 2018 -- The membership of Boca Woods Country Club, a boutique golf community in West Boca, has resoundingly approved a major Facilities Enhancement Project. “We were thrilled with a vote of over 82% in favor of our exciting plans for the future,” commented Club President, Linda Fontana.
The program includes new construction, along with significant renovation and repurposing of existing clubhouse space. Central to the project is a ground up, two story fitness center and spa, which will be situated above a first level golf cart storage site. “This makes maximum use of our valuable real estate, enabling us to double the size of our existing fitness center to approximately 12,000 square feet, without compromising any of our other outstanding assets, such as tennis courts, golf practice area, and beautiful landscaping,” explained General Manager, David Gourlay, CCM, CCE, CAM.
The conceptual plan was created by board leaders and a planning committee. Proposals are being accepted as the club seeks to identify an architect who will take the Boca Woods vision to specific design and implementation. The entire renovation is expected to take three years, during which all club services and activities will remain ongoing. “Our committee really thought of everything,” added Mrs. Fontana. “We knew it was very important to our membership that their lifestyle and all the amenities delivered daily continue uninterrupted.”
The clubhouse remodel includes new porte cochere, main lobby, connecting corridors, restrooms, meeting rooms, executive offices, and multi-use member activity areas. “These brick and mortar improvements will bring our facilities up to the level of our club’s two magnificent, 18 hole golf courses and eight championship tennis courts,” said Mr. Gourlay.
