ACMT’s 2018 Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) will be held Friday, April 6—Sunday, April 8, at the Washington Marriott Georgetown in Washington DC. Our annual Satellite Session, 'Toxic Threats, Chemical Security and Counterfeit Pharmaceuticals' will precede ASM on Thursday, April 5, at the same venue.
The ACMT Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) is an opportunity for specialists in the field of medical toxicology to gather together, network, and learn from the cutting-edge research of their peers. The event will elevate the field’s discourse by featuring national and international authorities speaking on current practices in medical toxicology.
A few of this year’s outstanding presentations include:
The Great US Cannabis Experiment: Short & Long-Term Consequences
Marilyn A. Huestis, PhD, MS, AB, Senior Fellow, The Lambert Center for the Study of Medicinal Cannabis and Hemp, Institute of Emerging Health Professions, Thomas Jefferson University
The Art and Design of Interpersonal Communication: Graceful Self-Promotion
Luanne Thorndyke, MD, Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs and Professor of Medicine, University of Massachusetts Medical School
The Physician Advocate: Advocacy and Medical Toxicology
Arthur Kellermann, MD, MPH, Dean, F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences
Beyond Atropine: Advanced Antidotes & Alternative Countermeasures
David Jett, PhD, Director, National Institute of Health CounterACT Program, NINDS Office of Translational Research
Bring your perspective to this fascinating collaboration as we discuss these all-important issues in Washington DC.
