Charlotte Author Evie Fox Flees Saudi Arabia and Lives to Talk About It and book gets banned in Saudi Arabia upon immediate release
CHARLOTTE, NC (PRWEB) April 04, 2018 -- 128 Degrees: The True Story of How a Blonde American Businesswoman Fled Saudi Arabia depicts the strength it took Evie Fox to live and work abroad in a repressive society and the strength she needed to flee from an environment where the accommodations were hardly more than what one would describe as “whore housing." It’s a true story from an outsider’s rare glimpse into the lives of Saudi women. Evie found her voice in the Middle East during her two-year stint working with a major oil company. She is on a mission to help oppressed women, at home and abroad, find theirs too.
Evie Fox is a first-time author with worldwide living and travel experience. She has a lengthy career in corporate governance and is not afraid of new experiences. She accepted a position in Saudi Arabia with “The Company” under a five-year contract. After struggling with the isolation associated with the continuous limitations of the entire compound experience and the damaging sociological and psychological effects of living in a “fishbowl” at 128 degrees, she decided that her only option in order to maintain her sanity and security was to flee the Middle East and the harsh realities of existing there. Evie uses her wit and comedic intricacies to capture in print her uncut and unique perspective of working as a blonde American businesswoman in Saudi Arabia.
Due to the nature of the book, Evie Fox’s true identity, as well as her given name, are being disguised. The book was edited and published by Melissa Latin, owner of Charlotte Fashion Plate and Peter Carey, co-owner of PAC Public Relations.
