School Outfitters Names Betsy Neyer President
CINCINNATI, Ohio (PRWEB) April 04, 2018 -- School Outfitters, one of Greater Cincinnati’s largest private companies, has named a new president. The change marks an exciting new chapter for the Cincinnati-based company as it enters its twentieth year of business.
Betsy Neyer, formerly Chief Operating Officer of the company, has been promoted to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer. In her new role, Neyer will focus on leading the organization to achieve annual and strategic goals and position the business to meet the future. Neyer joined School Outfitters in 2004, playing a leadership role in its dramatic year-over-year growth.
The role of president has been vacated by School Outfitters Chief Executive Officer Tom Brennan, who makes way for Neyer to ascend into the position but retains his role charting the long-term path of the company as CEO.
“Betsy has been an instrumental leader in our success for a very long time,” School Outfitters CEO Tom Brennan said. “In many ways this marks a natural evolution of her own development as a leader and executive but also for School Outfitters as well.”
In the past 20 years, School Outfitters has advanced beyond their original business as a furniture retailer and distributor as they’ve branched into the manufacturing space. In 2012, School Outfitters began researching, designing, developing and manufacturing innovative school furniture and equipment solutions for its own private label brands.
Brennan said he’s looking forward to taking this next step together.
“Betsy brings great skills in planning, leadership and culture to the role of president,” Brennan said. “I am looking forward to her pushing us in new directions as we continue to grow, succeed and strive to do what is right for our customer.”
Neyer said she’s excited to step into her new role and help lead School Outfitters into the future.
“I’m excited for this opportunity to grow in my role and to grow School Outfitters,” Neyer said. “After 20 years, School Outfitters is a recognized leader in the education industry, and the whole team at School Outfitters is motivated every day to further our company purpose of helping educators prepare people for the future.”
In addition to her work at School Outfitters, Neyer serves on the Executive Committee of the Strive Partnership, a partnership comprised of leaders from the education, business, philanthropic, nonprofit, civic, and faith communities working to change the system of education for every child, from cradle to career. She also sits on several non-profit and corporate Boards of Advisors, working to grow and contribute to the success of those organizations.
