Soft-Lite Windows Named 2018 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Sustained Excellence Award Winner by EPA
STREETSBORO, Ohio (PRWEB) April 04, 2018 -- Soft-Lite Windows has been recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a winner of the prestigious 2018 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Sustained Excellence Award for its continued leadership in protecting the environment through superior energy efficiency achievements. This is the fifth consecutive year that Soft-Lite has received the Partner of the Year Award and the third consecutive year that the company has achieved this elite Sustained Excellence level of award. Soft-Lite will be recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy in Washington, D.C. on April 20, 2018, for its leadership in manufacturing products that earn the ENERGY STAR, the government-backed symbol of energy efficiency.
Soft-Lite's innovative ENERGY STAR achievements this past year included the launch of an all-new line of ENERGY STAR certified hurricane windows that is especially designed to protect homeowners and their homes from airborne debris during hurricane-strength winds and other forms of violent weather. The new Barcelona Series includes double- and single-hung models, lift-out sliding windows, casement and awning models, and picture windows – all available in both impact and non-impact models.
Soft-Lite also began marketing and selling a new entry door line, Arrival Series Fiberglass Entry Doors, available in wood-grained doors with a factory-finished stain, or smooth painted fiberglass doors. Arrival Series doors are offered in a wide array of configurations, styles and options, most of which are ENERGY STAR labeled.
Another key achievement was introducing a brand-new component to its Soft Quote ordering system that offers its dealers the ability to provide their consumer customers a quote, as well as show them various options, right in the home during sales calls. Touch Quote also enhances Soft-Lite dealers’ awareness of the ENERGY STAR program and allows dealers to easily and immediately determine whether a window is ENERGY STAR certified for the region in which they will be installing it.
“We’re proud—and honored—to achieve national recognition from the EPA for the fifth year in a row, and to have reached the most prestigious level of Sustained Excellence for the third year” said Tyson Schwartz, Soft-Lite President. “ENERGY STAR is an integral part of Soft-Lite's business—it’s become the cornerstone of our commitment to energy efficiency. It’s exciting to see the impact our innovative new ENERGY STAR certified windows and doors make when they hit the market – and the impact they have on consumers. We also emphasize education and training to ensure that our employees, dealers and consumers have a clear understanding of the ENERGY STAR program and the benefits that energy-efficient products provide. We remain committed to continuing our work to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect the environment – and we will strive to develop new initiatives that will help us meet that goal. ”
