The Santa Clarita Automobile Dealers Association, commonly referred to as the Valencia Auto Center, recently signed a three-year agreement as presenting sponsor for the City of Santa Clarita’s Thursdays@Newhall events, which includes the popular SENSES themed events on the third Thursday of each month. This year the Thursday events run from March through October 2018. Emphasizing the importance shopping local brings to the community, the auto dealers’ organization also renewed its commitment as a business sponsor during the holiday season for the city’s Light Up Main Street event in Old Town Newhall and as official sponsor of Central Park Softball Complex, Field #4 scoreboard. The Valencia Auto Center is located in the city of Santa Clarita, California.

"The Santa Clarita Auto Dealers Association has supported many causes throughout our 20-year history,” said Don Fleming, president of the Santa Clarita Automobile Dealers Association. Support includes local organizations such as the Santa Clarita Valley Boys and Girls Club, the city of Santa Clarita’s Hometown Heroes Military Banner Program, Optimist Safety Town, Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Foundation, SCV Senior Center, Child & Family Center, and local high schools in the William S. Hart Union High School District.

In 2016, motor vehicle sales and leases represented approximately 23% of the City's annual sales tax revenue for a total of $7,335,148 in sales tax revenue. Over the past decade (2007-2016), nearly $55 million in sales tax revenue from the Valencia Auto Center has been added to the City’s General Fund. That means more funds for new roads, road maintenance, sidewalk repair, and bridge expansions; parks, trails and open space; and free public entertainment, arts, and events.
