The fifth annual Mower Madness tourney has ended with a new champion. It was an epic battle all the way to the end with BOB-CAT taking home the win.
"From everyone here at Mowers Direct, congratulations to this year's Mower Madness winner, BOB-CAT Mowers! They really pulled out all the stops this year, creating a viral social campaign that captured interests of their fans and mower enthusiasts alike. It was an exciting bracket fraught with difficult match-ups. We really didn't know if they were going to beat Mean Green in the end, but they persisted and clinched the number one spot," declared Jasmina Milankovic, Category Manager at Mowers Direct.
The turning point of the tournament was the "Favorite Four" round which determined the contenders of the "Final Cut" championship round. The top two teams winning only by a small margin was Mean Green and BOB-CAT. Both are professional-grade mower brands with a loyal following for their quality and craftsmanship. Mean Green beat out Jacobsen, earning 51% of votes while BOB-CAT beat out Swisher with 57% of the votes respectively.
In the Championship, BOB-CAT and Mean Green faced-off against each other. Both had gained the support of their fans by routinely inviting them to vote through social media and posting results from each round. In fact, BOB-CAT had gone as far to create fun and entertaining videos to show they had what it takes to win this year's Mower Madness.
In the end, no team could match the strength and endurance of BOB-CAT's efforts. By the time it was all over, they had secured 68% of the votes over a fierce and worthy adversary - officially making them the 2018 Mower Madness Champions.
Ron Scheffler, Product Manager at BOB-CAT, said, “[We're] grateful for all the support given by our fan base, and we are humbled to be champions once again. Being back-to-back champions brings a big responsibility and BOB-CAT aims to aid our customers with durable products that they can rely on, as well as support when they need it. This is a shared victory with all those that support the BOB-CAT brand!”
BOB-CAT manufactures zero-turn, walk-behind, and stand-on mowers for the consumers and commercial users. Their mowers are made in the USA at their facility in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin.
In addition to rallying their fans to vote, BOB-CAT showed it takes persistence to win. It all comes down to the final seconds on the clock. Winning for the second time shows just how important it is to keep getting votes in until the final moment when the clock runs out. Their social media efforts consisted of posting reminders for each round of the tournament and making a big push in the final moments to acquire the extra votes needed to secure the win. Their efforts certainly paid off.
