"On Demand" with host Rob Lowe to discuss Environmental Awareness on College Campuses
(PRWEB) April 07, 2018 -- With the increased awareness of climate change and other environmental challenges, many believe it's society's collective responsibility to conserve the environment. This can only be accomplished when certain measures are implemented, and a visibility is brought to the forefront. Rob Lowe hosts a new segment of "On Demand" that will be providing insight on how to promote environmental awareness on college campuses. The program will explain why this is important, and the various ways in which it can be done and has already been implemented at certain institutions.
Even though there are many TV shows on various topics, not enough of them focus on the environment and how to be more conscious of it. Society is currently faced with deforestation, water and air pollution, extinction of species and loss of biodiversity. These are just a few of the problems brought about by human irresponsibility. In the show, Rob Lowe will introduce this segment that discusses these in detail, and how setting trends in higher education can lead to more responsibility later in life.
College campuses play a critical role in this. Being institutions that host many people, institutions need to ensure that these people are conscious of their environment. There is a lot that college campuses can do to conserve water and the local environment. These ways include; using double flush toilets, planting trees and drought-tolerant crops, using leak detection technology to prevent wastage of water, upgrading laundry rooms to use less water, introducing hand-sanitizers instead of water in the restrooms, and providing basic environmental conservation lessons to the students and the neighboring communities.
The series will focus on all of these in greater detail. It continues to stir up excitement and anticipation because of its educational yet fun nature.
