For the second consecutive year, fine jewelry brand Paolo Costagli New York is the corporate sponsor of LOOT: MAD About Jewelry, the Museum of Arts and Design’s annual five-day exhibition and sale of contemporary art jewelry. Now in its 18th edition, LOOT remains the only event in North America to provide the public with the opportunity to meet and directly acquire contemporary pieces from the most skilled, innovative, and creative jewelry artists working globally today. Open to the public from April 17 through April 21, LOOT features a curated selection of jewelry by thirty-five international emerging and established artists, in addition to a showcase of Paolo Costagli New York’s collection. At LOOT this year, Paolo Costagli New York will be debuting never-before-seen bespoke jewels, as well as a collection of their most iconic designs, including designs from the award-winning Brillante® collection and the renowned Florentine collection.

“LOOT remains the ultimate contemporary art jewelry shopping experience in New York,” said MAD Museum LOOT 2018 Chair Marsy Mittlemann. “No other event offers such a variety of expressive and original jewelry from around the world. We are proud to showcase the work of contemporary jewelry artists to the public, providing a platform for their creative practice, while supporting the Museum’s education and exhibition programs.”

Paolo Costagli’s involvement with the Museum of Arts and Design dates back to 2008 when the Museum acquired a bracelet from his iconic and award-winning Brillante® collection currently on display in the MAD jewelry gallery.

Established in 1993, Paolo Costagli New York creates bold and modern, yet always timeless designs. Paolo Costagli New York’s collection is recognized for blurring the line between fine art and jewelry. A testament to this is a bracelet from the Brillante® collection, part of the Museum of Arts and Design’s permanent collection.
