Corning's Gaffer District Announces Returning Sponsor for GlassFest 2018 Scavenger Hunt

Corning’s Gaffer District is pleased to announce that MASTERPIX™ Fine Glass Prints will return as the 2018 GlassFest scavenger hunt sponsor with special prizes. The scavenger hunt was a tremendous success last year debuting as the MASTERPIX™ Fine Glass Prints Scavenger Hunt.

MASTERPIX will be giving away photos printed on Corning® Gorilla® Glass that feature scenic images of Downtown Corning. This year’s grand prize giveaways feature:

  • Concierge Design Packages for three (3) grand prize winners to collaborate with the MASTERPIX team to design a photo collage of their favorite images that will be printed on the glass size of their choice (up to 16”x24”), along with a bamboo display stand.
  • MASTERPIX glass prints of Downtown Corning for three (3) grand prize winners. Winners will receive one large size glass print (11”x14”, 16”x16”, or 16”x24”), along with a bamboo display stand.

Additionally, 20 scavenger hunt participants will receive 5”x7” or 6”x6” MASTERPIX glass prints of Downtown Corning.

“We are honored to be back again this year as sponsor of the GlassFest scavenger hunt,” said Flora Sanders, assistant product line manager for MASTERPIX. “Our specialty glass prints were well-received last year, and we’re excited to team up with the Gaffer District, Gaffer District businesses and local photographers to celebrate the unique artistry of glass in our region.”

MASTERPIX prints your favorite photos on thin, durable Corning® Gorilla® Glass using UV-cured inks so your photos remain vibrant with long-lasting color for years to come. Manufactured using Corning’s proprietary fusion draw process, Gorilla Glass is optically clear, tough, scratch-resistant, stain-resistant, thin and lightweight, which makes it a great choice for preserving cherished moments. By visiting the MASTERPIX website, http://www.MASTERPIX.com, consumers can create glass prints in sizes ranging from 5”x7” to 16”x24”. MASTERPIX glass prints can be displayed in a table top stand, hung on the wall, or used in standard picture frames.

Coleen Fabrizi, Executive Director for Corning’s Gaffer District said, “We are thrilled to have MASTERPIX return as our featured partner for the GlassFest scavenger hunt. The scavenger hunt participants love exploring our downtown businesses as they try to win spectacular prizes. There is no doubt that a chance to win a beautiful MASTERPIX print will continue the excitement around the GlassFest scavenger hunt!”

GlassFest, May 24–27, brings thousands of visitors each day to Corning's Downtown. The event kicks off with the Glass Ribbon Cutting ceremony and an amazing 2300 degrees party at the Corning Museum of Glass, followed by 3 more days along Historic Market Street of glassblowing, live music, glass artists and other art vendors, food, shopping, the MASTERPIX™ Fine Glass Prints Scavenger Hunt, the Wineglass GlassFest 8K, and fireworks.
