Rootstock & Vine Lands Coveted Partnership in National Seafood Watch Program
WOODSTOCK, Ga. (PRWEB) April 11, 2018 -- Woodstock’s Rootstock & Vine wine and tapas venue has just been awarded a rare partnership with the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch® Program to promote and proliferate ocean-friendly seafood. Only one other restaurant in Georgia shares in this partnership reflecting Rootstock & Vine’s commitment to providing environmentally responsible seafood choices to customers.
Seafood Watch ® raises sustainable seafood awareness through its consumer guides, website, app, and partnerships with businesses, culinary leaders, and conservation organizations across North America and beyond. Using science-based, peer reviewed methods, Seafood Watch ® assesses how fisheries and farmed seafood impact the environment and provides recommendations indicating which items are Best Choice, Good Alternative, and which ones to Avoid.
Executive Chef Todd Webster proudly shares, “We’re supporting a healthier, abundant ocean with our commitment to source environmentally responsible seafood. Through our partnership, we also allow our customers to support the benefits of the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch ® program.” Through this program, Rootstock & Vine hopes to help transform the seafood marketplace in favor of more conscientious fisheries and aquaculture operations. “This means we, and our customers, contribute toward a more wholesome seafood experience now and in the future,” adds Webster.
Rootstock & Vine, featuring Vintners Rooftop is primarily a Wine and Bourbon bar, located in the lively Downtown District of Woodstock Ga. The venue offers a full bar with focus on wine from family owned, mostly organic vineyards. Rootstock & Vine hosts a modern kitchen, allowing us to offer gourmet food, including Tapas, Salad, Soup, Dessert and Charcuterie.
Seafood Watch ® is a registered service mark of the Monterey Bay Aquarium Foundation.
