Determining the Best Places to Work in Chicago involved a two-step process. The first step consisted of evaluating each participating company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics (worth approximately 25 percent of the total evaluation). The second part consisted of employee surveys aimed at assessing the experiences and attitudes of individual employees with respect to their workplace (worth approximately 75 percent of the total evaluation). The combined scores determined the best companies and the final ranking.
In addition to this recognition from Crain’s, Walker Sands has built a reputation as a top workplace. The company was named to Inc. Magazine’s “Best Workplaces 2017,” and honored as B2B Marketing Awards Agency of the Year finalist in 2017, as well as shortlisted as a finalist for the Holmes Report’s 2018 North America Tech PR Agency of the Year award.
