Cybersecurity Compliance Solutions Provider, Assure Professional, Announces SSAE 18 Webinar
DE PERE, Wis. (PRWEB) April 16, 2018 -- Assure Professional, a leading cybersecurity, assurance and compliance solutions provider, will participate in a webinar event featuring an in-depth discussion pertaining to SSAE 18 on Thursday, April 19, from 12 – 2 p.m. EST. The event - titled "SSAE 18 (Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements): Trends, Developments and Significant Updates Impacting SOC Examinations" - is being produced in partnership with The Knowledge Group, the leading producer of regulatory focused webcasts.
The event will inform CPAs, internal auditors, risk and compliance managers, senior management and operations executives, about the impact of SSAE 18 on SOC examinations, and provide practical compliance strategies for new and clarified SOC reporting requirements. Webinar speakers will include Assure Professional Audit and Accounting Partner, William Holman.
SSAE 18 became effective for all reports issued on or after May 1, 2017, replacing SSAE 16 when referencing a SOC 1. SSAE 18 mandates companies to take more control and ownership of their internal controls when identifying and classifying risks. SSAE 18 attempts to clarify and recodify the associated attestation standards.
SSAE 18 audit standards; system and organization controls, the impact on SOC Engagements; SSAE 18 reporting requirements; and SSAE 16 vs. SSAE 18 are among the key topics that will be addressed.
Areas of discussion will include: monitoring controls of subservice organizations and documentation of subservice organizations' controls (in the case of utilization of the carve out method); removal of any non-key controls that are not necessary to achieve associated control objectives; and the establishment of a minimum set of criteria required in management’s assertion.
Registration for the first 60 registrants is free, courtesy of Assure Professional. Additional attendees can register for the deeply discounted rate of $25 each. Those registered, but unable to attend, will receive a recording of the event. To register for the webinar click here.
