Newly implemented manager candidate program proven success

Atlanta-based financial technology company, Payscape, announces the grand opening of their office in Greenville, South Carolina and the first graduate of their Manager Candidate program, Rick Merritt. The office is located in the Regus Building in Millport Circle (128 Millport Circle, Suite 208, Greenville, SC 29607). The new location is the 8th Payscape office to open its doors.

Merritt has been in the payments industry for over four years with his most recent endeavor being the New Business Development Manager for Central Payments. Over the course of his professional career, he has learned the art behind successful cold calling to create a full pipeline and identifying financial technology needs for different types of small to medium sized businesses. In this new role, Merritt will be responsible for hiring a team of Sales Executives to consultant merchants in the Greenville market on Financial Technology and Merchant Processing.

“Merritt is going to be a vital part of the next phase of growing Payscape as he establishes the presence of our new Greenville location,” says President, Brady Harris, “We are elated to see what he does and the amount of which he will accomplish as the first manager candidate graduate”

Throughout the 12-week program, individuals are challenged to complete two different phases at Payscape’s headquarters in Atlanta. The first part consists of them being trained on the standards of Payscape’s outside sales representatives from cold calling, participating in trainings, and weekly one-on-ones managed by their Sales Development Leader (SDL). Once they have accomplished their educational and performance objectives they are inducted into phase two, leadership training. Consisting of job shadowing SDLs and other corporate management with the addition of formal management training courses. Lastly, they are observed and evaluated by Payscape’s Vice President of Sales through a capstone event, where they spend the day running an office.
