mParticle Rounds Out Leadership Team To Scale Globally With New Executive Appointments

mParticle, the only Customer Data Platform built with Privacy by Design at its core, today announced the appointment of John Sedlak as Chief Revenue Officer. In this role, he will oversee global sales, solutions engineering, partnerships, and customer success.

Sedlak is a proven leader with more than two decades of experience building and leading successful sales organizations of all sizes, from early-stage startups to global Fortune 500s. He joins mParticle from Adobe, where he was Vice President of the Audience Manager division. Prior, Sedlak was Chief Revenue Officer of location-based data platform PlaceIQ. Previously, he was VP of Sales for Oracle Marketing Cloud where he arrived via Oracle’s acquisition of BlueKai, where he served as SVP of Global Sales and played a key role in establishing their DMP business and leading the integration into Oracle.

“Customer Data Platforms are completely transforming the way that brands think about unifying marketing and customer experience across channels and partners. Adding an experienced executive like John to the team will help us keep pace with market demand within the enterprise and beyond,” said Michael Katz, co-founder and CEO of mParticle. “I couldn’t be more excited to welcome John to our team.”

“I’m thrilled to be joining mParticle to help accelerate its growth and momentum during this important and exciting phase for the company and industry,” said John Sedlak, Chief Revenue Officer of mParticle. “mParticle’s best-of-breed technology is uniquely equipped to build on data platforms already in place and enable brands to drive their digital transformation in customer experience to the next level.”

mParticle today also announced the appointment of three key executives:

  • Kiran Hebbar as Chief Financial Officer, overseeing corporate finance, investor relations, financial planning & analysis, and people operations. Hebbar was previously CFO of Social Tables and prior to that was a Partner at Valhalla Partners, a venture capital firm based in Washington, DC.
  • Will Rogers as Chief Information Security Officer. Rogers was previously a Senior Network & Application Security Engineer at Etsy.
  • Aurélie Pols as Data Protection Officer. As DPO, Pols will ensure enterprise-grade security and data protections are at the core of mParticle’s product design, development, and customer operations. Her previous roles include Data Governance and Privacy Advocate at Krux Digital (acquired by Salesforce).

These appointments come following a year of record growth and product expansion for mParticle. In February, the company announced end-to-end consent, and data subject request management features to help brands support GDPR compliance. The company also recently released its next-generation identity management and resolution offering that provides mParticle customers with a real-time, holistic view of their users’ activity within the mParticle interface.
