PTG Water & Energy Joins Plug and Play, the World’s Largest Innovation Platform
SAN LEANDRO, Calif. (PRWEB) April 25, 2018 -- PTG Water & Energy® (PTG), an innovator of integrated power generation and water efficiency systems, has been selected to participate in the Plug and Play Energy & Sustainability program, a global accelerator platform designed to enable innovation in the energy sector. PTG was one of 156 companies accepted across eight different vertical-market programs, which collectively accepted less than two percent of all applicants.
Twice each year, Plug and Play runs a three-month program for early- and growth-stage startups, industry-leading corporations, and venture capitalists. Through tailored deal flow, themed workshops, and face-to-face interaction, the platform enables corporations to engage with startups that can either complement current products and services or help create new revenue streams. Most importantly, participant companies gain access to business units of the largest oil and gas companies, electric utilities, and multinational corporations with sustainability initiatives.
“Plug and Play is here to fuel innovation and give startups an opportunity to team up with the largest players in their industry,” said Saeed Amidi, founder and CEO of Plug and Play. “We are excited to welcome the newest startups into the Plug and Play ecosystem.”
As part of the program, PTG will participate in a three-month program centered on business development, with the chance to secure pilots, POCs, and investments from Plug and Play’s extensive network of 220 corporate partners, which includes public utilities and multinational oil and gas companies. Plug and Play does not take equity as a prerequisite to join the program. Upon graduation, these startups will enter into Plug and Play’s global ecosystem and will continue to be part of the community through deal flow and events.
“We are honored to have been chosen by Plug and Play to participate in their program as they have a long, successful history of helping entrepreneurs find both funding and strategic corporate partners,” said Greg Ryan, CEO and co-founder of PTG. “In particular, we are excited about the prospects of getting to work with the natural gas companies that have sponsored Plug and Play. Our water/energy technology platform is a great fit for them, as we make natural gas more productive and even preferable to most renewables for commercial/industrial users in the food and beverage, ag processing, and chemical production sectors.”
