Fitness CEO Wins National Women Entrepreneur Fellowship
SANTA FE, N.M. (PRWEB) May 01, 2018 -- Floery Mahoney, founder and CEO of Da Vinci BodyBoard, a revolutionary fitness program headquartered in Santa Fe, New Mexico, has been awarded a one-year Tory Burch Foundation Fellowship in recognition of her success as a woman entrepreneur.
Each year, the Tory Burch Foundation chooses from hundreds of top women entrepreneurs in the U.S. for a year long fellowship which involves networking and business development support throughout the year to help grow their companies.
“I think our big moment is happening right now, which is the compilation of all of our hard work. We opened our first of many licensed studios in the U.S. and we’re launching in Europe,” says Mahoney, who was selected from over 400 applicants who fit the criteria.
The Da Vinci BodyBoard is Mahoney’s fourth business venture; she opened the first Pilates studio in Vermont and then the Starry Night Cafe and Daily Chocolate - all of which are still in business under new ownership. When she founded Da Vinci BodyBoard in 2013, her goal was to create a half-hour workout that would include strength training, cardio, and stretching in one challenging and efficient series of movement.
While simple in its set-up and design, the BodyBoard exercises are designed to tone muscles, strengthen the core, and balance the body to create full body integrity. Clients of all ages find the workouts stimulating and innovative, yet straightforward to learn.
The patented BodyBoard has become an international sensation with locations in Los Angeles, London, Miami, Seoul, Tokyo, and Athens. Mahoney’s flagship studio in Santa Fe, New Mexico, serves as the training center for the independent, licensed studios in the U.S. and as the company’s international headquarters. The first licensed studio opened in Fort Collins, CO in December, and at least three more are scheduled to open this year in Chicago, Las Vegas, and Denver.
