Author Debbie Pappin Hunt’s Newly Released “If I Were an Animal” is a Fun and Educational Storybook About the Many Lives of the Animals Living in the Forest
MEADVILLE, Pa. (PRWEB) May 07, 2018 -- “If I Were an Animal”: a fun-filled learning adventure that teaches children about animals and the way they live. “If I Were an Animal” is the creation of published author, Debbie Pappin Hunt. Debra was born in South Gate, California then moved to the bay area at the age of seven. She has been an avid camper, hiker, backpacker, and horseback rider. At the age of twelve, she was even a trophy girl for Arabian horse shows. Debra fell in love with the mountains and all they had to offer at an early age. She has volunteered with the High Sierra Volunteer Trail Crew on numerous assignments, volunteered with a local no-kill shelter, and was a PAL/LifeSkills Instructor working in various schools where she educated students from several grades about drugs, bullying, violence, peer pressure, self-esteem, and the skills needed to survive in today’s environment. This, in turn, led her to help create an outdoor recreation program for the children of Police Activity League members. The program allowed parents to take their children into the great outdoors where they were able to camp, fish, swim and enjoy all the activities of the outdoors, including some they had never experienced. Debra is now retired. She lives in Clovis, California with her husband, Steve, dog, fish, and numerous other animals. She still enjoys camping, hiking, and fishing as well as gardening in addition to a horseback ride here and there.
“Learn a bit of animal science as you wander your way through, and maybe you can even find out how to help too! By the way, do you know what the difference is between a mammal and a bird? There are animals that live up high in the mountains where it is cool. They cannot tolerate hotter climates. Eyesight and hearing even matters when you are worried about survival. There’s a creature that can’t even smell! There’s an animal that’s actually an acrobat—just wait and see what it can do!” --Debbie Pappin Hunt
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Debbie Pappin Hunt’s new book invites young readers to explore the lives of fourteen animals. Join them as they endure the struggles of survival and celebrate the gift of life. Travel through the homes of these creatures while they search for food, overcome conflicts with other animals, and play. From eating habits to hunting methods, from sleeping habits to fun facts, there is a lot to learn. Children and parents alike will see that the challenges of being an animal are not so different from surviving as a human.
