Local Organizations Host a Free Screening of SWIM TEAM, a Film about Autism, Transition Planning and Swimming
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (PRWEB) May 02, 2018 -- Littman Krooks LLP and The Arc Westchester will host a complimentary screening of the award-winning documentary, SWIM TEAM. This film is about a New Jersey community swim team comprised of teens on the autism spectrum. The film follows three of team’s athletes, boys on the cusp of adulthood when government services become scarce.
The film will be screened on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 5:30PM at the Greenburgh Public Library, 300 Tarrytown Road, Elmsford, NY 10523.
After the screening, there will be a discussion on transition planning.
SWIM TEAM is an inspiring look at the overwhelming struggles they face and the triumphs they achieve as they strive for independence and inclusion. Directed by Lara Stolman, SWIM TEAM provides insight into the power of community to transcend disability and create hope and opportunities for the future.
