tend.ly Raises $1 Million of Seed Funding to Accelerate Growth
INDIANAPOLIS (PRWEB) May 02, 2018 -- tend.ly, a cloud software platform for senior care and child care providers, announced today it has secured $1 million in seed funding. The round, which will be used to fuel product innovation and hiring, was led by a group of influential entrepreneurs and investors including Mike Simmons (Managing Director, Jupiter Peak, LLC), Scott McCorkle (Former CEO, Salesforce Marketing Cloud), Eric Tobias (Partner, High Alpha), Michael Browning (Founder, Browning Investments), and Elevate Ventures.
tend.ly’s customers span some of the largest child care providers in North America, who strengthen communication with loved ones, engage employees, and streamline payments and reimbursements using tend.ly’s all-in-one management platform.
“The future of senior care and child care is rapid, real-time communication with loved ones. Parents want to know about the moments that matter. Our vision is to empower care providers with easy-to-use, mobile-based software that doesn’t increase the operational burden for the provider,” said tend.ly Founder and CEO Caitlin Coffman. “We’re thrilled with our early progress and are eager to continue to expand our product roadmap and sales teams to accelerate our vision.”
The funding will allow tend.ly to grow its product, sales and marketing teams, as well as further develop its offerings to meet the evolving needs of care providers across North America.
“tend.ly is addressing a critical need in the senior and child care industries by connecting providers and loved ones with real-time moments that matter. There are more than one million of these providers in the United States,” said Eric Tobias, partner at High Alpha. “Everyday there are millions of interactions between these care providers and the children or seniors in their care. Today, these moments are mostly invisible to loved ones. tend.ly helps shine a light on these moments that matter, building a deeper connection between the provider and the loved one."
In addition to this new round of funding, tend.ly recently launched new child care accreditation feature, which seamlessly integrates state and national accreditation standards into the software’s Learning Moments. This feature allows child care centers to capture progress toward a standard through both lesson planning and real-time documentation as the learning happens in the classroom.
