Gregory Toback and Marianne Urbanski will host the next Shoreline Periodontics Synergy Study Club event, scheduled for Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This is a special event titled, “Technology Night,” and is the second in a series of study club meetings offered for dentists and specialists. The entire Synergy Study Club continuum offers 18 continuing education credit hours to those attending all four meetings. Respected periodontists in New London, CT, and Westerly, RI, Drs. The Technology Night study club meeting will focus on advanced dental technology topics and their applications to clinical practice. Some of the technologies discussed will include Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) 3D imaging for viewing detailed digital images of bone, nerve pathways and other anatomical features. Navident, a four-step guided implant process for precision placement of dental implants, will also be discussed, as will the latest in laser dentistry applications, among other effective pieces of technology. The goal of the study club meeting is to educate attendees on the practical uses of the technologies presented and how these services can best be used to improve the oral health and lives of the patients they serve.
