“Sue and I have been serious supporters of the Future Olympian Fund for a number of years because we believe that it is very important to encourage, and make possible, the next gen of kids hopeful of making a difference in all level of sport, and maybe even at the Olympic level.”
The Future Olympians Fund was created by Karen Blair and Duncan Sinclair to support the next generation of Olympic athletes. Couples from across Canada stepped up to ensure over $2,000,000 was raised for this special cause. Gold Medal Plates (the largest annual fundraiser for the COF) was established in 2004 by Stephen Leckie and Karen Blair, who were inspired to celebrate Canadian excellence in food, wine, business and sport with the beneficiary being Canadian Olympic athletes. Every year 100 volunteer business influencers invite over 6,000 guests to come together to celebrate and raise money for Team Canada. Gold Medal Plates has raised more than $13 million to date for the our athletes.
