Introducing “Dining Out Loud With Penny Pollack and Michael Nagrant”
CHICAGO (PRWEB) May 07, 2018 -- Penny Pollack, author, bonne vivant and longtime Dining Editor of Chicago magazine, and Michael Nagrant, acclaimed food critic and contributor to the James Beard Award-winning Alinea cookbook, today announce their podcast, DINING OUT LOUD. Launching on May 4th, the podcast listeners can hear the thinking behind the critiques that can make or break a restaurant. In each episode, Penny and Mike rate and debate their recent restaurant adventures – think of it as a culinary version of AT THE MOVIES WITH SISKEL AND EBERT with behind-the-scenes out-takes.
In addition to restaurant reviews, the podcast will include interviews with industry luminaries and feature two recurring segments about Penny and Mike’s favorite places to nosh: “Where Penny Eats” and “Where Mike Eats.” Other topics will include industry insider banter about everything from what makes a good waitperson to food waste.
“I look forward to sharing the many stories that are waiting to be told,” says Penny. “The time has come for me to share my opinions on my own terms…and in my own font size.”
In response, Mike muses: “Penny has probably forgotten more than I’ll ever know. I am happy for the opportunity to match wits with her.”
Topics will be varied and timely. The first episodes of DINING OUT LOUD include “The One Where Nobody Liked The Chicken” (Brendan Sodikoff’s new sushi spot, Radio Anago, goes under the knife); “What The Hell Is A Puffy Taco” (Mike explains to Penny exactly what is a “puffy” taco); “When Penny Met Rich” (Penny interviews celeb chef, Richard Blais, but first she asks him who the heck he is).
DINING OUT LOUD’s Executive Producers, John McCartney and Dane Neal are both broadcast veterans and dining experts. John is the founder of Blast Marketing, and is an Emmy-nominated producer. Dane is an accomplished food broadcaster and national syndicated radio host (Restaurant Radio America, Flavor HD and Chicago's WGN 720 Radio).
DINING OUT LOUD will release its first episode on Friday, May 4. All other episodes will be released every other Friday. DINING OUT LOUD will be available at DiningOutLoudPodcast.com, iTunes, GooglePlay and other places where podcasts can be downloaded.
