“Re-Digging the Wells of Our Fathers”: a wise and compassionate book about the biblical truths the modern world needs to rediscover. “Re-Digging the Wells of Our Fathers” is the creation of published author Colin Deibert, a theological autodidact and retired builder based in Virginia, who during his lifetime as a believer attended many different denominational and nondenominational churches.
Colin shares, “The church has the problem of failure of transition. Israel of the Old Testament was a prototype for the Israel of the New Testament. It was the spiritual seed of Abraham that carried the spiritual sperm of God. Ishmael, Esau, and Manasseh were all sons of Abraham, but not the sons of God. Only their brothers Isaac, Jacob, and Ephraim were the sons to carry the spiritual seed. These are the sons that carried the double blessing. The first half of the blessing was to be a son of Abraham, which is akin to being born into the Christian family. The second half of the blessing was the anointing of the Spirit. This is akin to being filled with the Holy Spirit. This is where the Jew got lost. He insisted that his physical Jewishness carried the earmark of being a child of God. Much of the church today fails to see the impetus of transition from physical Israel to spiritual Israel. Jesus tells us in John 18:36, ‘My kingdom is not of this world, if My kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is My kingdom not from hence.’ This is teaching that goes beyond milk.”
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Colin Deibert’s new book draws heavily and wisely from scripture to address many of the modern culture’s frustrations and waywardness.
The author, firm in his conviction of God’s truth, bravely and solemnly speaks out against the church’s obsessions, false doctrines, malpractices, and fear of science, as well as society’s myopic practices in everything from faithfulness in marriage and overall attitude toward the Christian faith.
