“Family Matters: Continually Strengthening Families through God’s Word”: a call to reviving the family through the guidance of God and worship. “Family Matters: Continually Strengthening Families through God’s Word” is the creation of published author, Shane Burnett. Shane lives in Duncan, South Carolina with his wife of twenty-five years and their two daughters. They enjoy boating, camping, and vacationing at Disney World. Shane accepted Christ on November 12, 2006 at the age of thirty-six. It was then he almost immediately felt the call to preach. He began supply preaching in 2007 and earned a master’s degree in Christian ministry from North Greenville University in 2010. During this time, he also served his church as a Sunday school teacher and deacon. He was ordained in 2011 and served as a bivocational associate pastor for a short time. Since 2011, he has maintained his management position at a large manufacturing company and supply preaches anywhere he is needed. He has a passion for studying the Bible and teaching God’s Word. He also has a passion for reaching good, but lost, people, much like the man he used to be before he met Christ. Shane defines these people as good, honest people who have every reason to be happy, yet feel as though they are missing something in their lives. It is because they became adults without knowing Jesus Christ. He wants to share his real-life experiences with and without Christ to motivate others to accept Christ as the missing link in their lives.

“Do you remember the television show Family Matters? I’ve often wondered what the title actually meant. Did it mean that the family was important, or did it mean that they were going to address issues of the family? In reality, both of those answers are true, and that is exactly what this book addresses.” --Shane Burnett

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Shane Burnett’s new book shows the importance of restoring the family through worship.

God simply wants people to worship Him on a daily basis. He wants parents to teach their kids to worship Him every day. One of the first things one must do is understand that the mythical definition of the word “worship” must be destroyed. Society has made people believe that they cannot worship God without professional help from the church. No one can effectively worship in their homes according to them. The truth is that worship can and does take place anytime and anywhere someone’s attention is focused on God.

“Family Matters: Continually Strengthening Families through God’s Word” seeks to strengthen families by revealing how important all people are to God. It teaches readers how to incorporate Him into their daily lives, especially when they and their families are struggling with everyday issues. Author Shane Burnett teaches readers how to routinely engage their families with God. Readers will learn how to strengthen their relationships with Him and each other. God will help them deal with family matters, because family matters to Him.
