Lone Star Emergency Group Now the Exclusive Texas Dealer for the REV Fire Group's Axis™ Smart Truck Technology
HOUSTON (PRWEB) May 08, 2018 -- Today, Lone Star Emergency Group is excited to announce that it is now the exclusive Texas dealer for the REV Group Fire Division's new Axis™ Smart Truck Technology for the fire service.
This groundbreaking technology revolutionizes emergency vehicle maintenance and fleet management, as it allows fire departments and fleet managers to continuously and remotely monitor the health and condition of their apparatus. Axis™ technology will vastly improve in-service utilization through real-time awareness and a reduction in unscheduled repairs.
“Axis™ Smart Truck Technology changes the entire landscape of emergency vehicle service and maintenance,” says Brad Fullington, CEO of Lone Star Emergency Group. “It puts Lone Star and the internal fleet management team in a real-time partnership to manage fleet maintenance, ensuring quality maintenance and the long-term protection of the significant investment made in emergency vehicles. Most importantly, Axis™ will help keep emergency vehicles functioning properly during critical situations.”
The new technology is a significant step beyond conventional fleet management systems because it monitors the status of not only the chassis, but also the critical multiplexing systems and relevant water flow components on the apparatus. Additionally, it enables superior electronics troubleshooting and support through real-time notifications, run-log recording, remote diagnostics, and secure over-the-air device updates.
The Axis™ Smart Truck Technology provides:
• Access from any computer, laptop or mobile device to vehicle information through a web based dashboard
• Important truck information at a glance with the ability to delve further into specific truck data and diagnostics
• Monitoring of up to 5 vehicle networks
• Remote updates to multiple components and faster support from the dealer and OEM when service is needed
• Real time vehicle notification via text and email to mobile devices
• An open architecture design allowing for the adoption of additional technology partners to further improve fire ground operations and more
All new apparatus built by E-ONE and Ferrara will have Axis™ Smart Truck Technology available as an option. Lone Star will also soon be able to install or retrofit most existing E-ONE and Ferrara apparatus with the new technology, as well.
