Where Real Estate Is Never Boring
POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (PRWEB) May 08, 2018
“Pompano Beach – Florida's Next Great Beach Town”
Long considered the boring South Florida beach town located between glamorous Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, Pompano Beach is well on its way to becoming Florida's next great beach town. Named on Trip Advisor's top 10 U.S. cities list that are generating buzz, recently featured on HGTV's 'Beachfront Bargain Hunt,' New Times Magazine's best Florida beaches, and the #1 Florida beach vacation town by MONEY Magazine. At prices much lower than most of South Florida, especially for Pompano Beach condos.
Pompano Beach's fortunes began to change in the early 2000s when the condo boom brought five new developments to the city including the Plaza on Oceanside with over 200 Florida luxury condos with Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal views. The Plaza offers more amenities than most cruise ships including a wine room, cigar room, theater, sports lounge, golf simulator, tennis courts, huge pool, cabanas and spa. Even free breakfast for residents who don't sleep-in too late after participating in all the condo activities.
With more people looking to vacation or live in one of Florida's new condos, Pompano Beach has been especially busy with about a dozen projects near the ocean underway or in the planning stages, including the city's first super upscale development, Sabbia Beach, that is over 95% sold with prices that ranged from $900,000 to $5 million. Two new hotels are also in the works including Pure Residence, a Florida condo hotel that owners can use as a vacation beach condo and easily rent out to other vacationers when they go back home.
After spending millions of dollars upgrading the Pompano Beach extra-wide beach area with a promenade of palm trees, colorful night lighting, picnic facilities, water features, fancy children's play ground and even professional exercise equipment, many more dollars are earmarked for a new fishing pier and 40,000 square feet of beach restaurants and shops now under construction.
Much of the Pompano Beach renaissance has been driven by the area's real estate prices where new Florida condos are about 30% to 50% less than most of South Florida, and a good supply of older oceanfront condo buildings with ocean views from the $300s. Newer condos and town homes range from about $400,000 to over $1 million – a huge difference from Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale.
