NORWALK, Conn. (PRWEB) May 08, 2018 -- Norwalk Children’s Arts & Design Festival 2018 is the brainchild of the New England Fashion + Design Association (NEF+DA) and unlike other festivals in the past, this trailblazing family friendly event will be solely featuring the Generation Z children’s talents.
And so, as the excitement of creativity in Norwalk inspires us all, you should join us and take part in this spirit of creation and collaboration, by sharing Norwalk Children’s Arts and Design Festival 2018 with your friends and families and bring them all in.
This event presents a pure essence of collaboration of women’s small businesses believing that sharing their love of art will bring peaceful and beautiful future to the next generations.
Creative thinking is the alphabet and the new language between people.

Schedule for the Norwalk Children’s Arts and Design Festival (NCAD Festival):
Day 1
May 10th Location: South Norwalk Train Station (New Haven site) Art opening and mini concert
Time: 6:00-7:00 pm
Tess Musical School
The Talent Education Suzuki School presents Augmented 4, a string quartet with Harry Graney Green, violin I, Emi Krishnamurthy, violin II, Erin Famous, viola and Eva Bodek, cello. Students are ages 12-16. Also performing is the string quartet 4 Scrolls,
with Kovi Bodek, violin I, Emma Famous, violin II, Jimmy Curto, viola and Johnny Shiller, cello. They are ages 13-16.
Augmented 4 is performing String Quartet No. 14 in D minor "Death and the Maiden", movement 1 Allegro by F. Schubert, and 4 Scrolls is performing String Quartet Op. 20 No. 2 in C Major, movement 4 Fuga a Soggetti by F.J. Haydn.
New England Fashion + Design Association-
Fashion Art and Illustrations by students ages 9-18- dreamy ideas of future wearable designs with sharp understanding of the changing environment, this young designer reflect in their illustrations unbelievable understanding of the world.
Peace by Piece
A Circle of children who work with a group of senior citizens under the guidance of renown children’s book author- quilted poetry and patches of imagination

Children’s and teens fashion show- ages 9-18- creative designs by students in FashionLab Summer camp, Junior Fashion Design Academy and Pre-College Portfolio Workshop
Norwalk Metropolitan Youth Ballet
"This Side of Paradise" - Character piece, a duet about the romance between F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald. Choreographed by Emma Kelly and performed by Alexander Holms (13) and Isabella Lee (12)
"Elysian" - contemporary pas de trois choreographed by Adam James Holms, M.A. It is the second of two pas de trois pieces Mr. Adam choreographed to complement each other. The first part, "After the Shock" was choreographed for a trio at our sister school in Haiti, Institut de Danse Lynn Williams Rouzier. It will be performed by Mia Generoso (15), Katerina Gotouhidis (15) and Benjamin Boveroux (16).
"Fancy Free" - this is a character ensemble after the theme and choreography of Jerome Robbins from "Fancy Free". The music of Leonard Bernstein and the choreography of Adam James Holms, M.A. will be performed by Jacob Becker (11), Benjamin Boveroux (16), Chase Hanson (15), Alexander Holms (13), Andrew Holms (12), Henry Koskoff (17), and Jonah Werring (12).
"This Side of Paradise" and "Elysian" can be performed back to back. Benjamin and Alexander will ideally need 5-10 minutes to change into their sailor outfits to close our participation with "Fancy Free"

All three songs are from the musical "Trolls" written by Cheryl E. Kemeny
The age group of the performers are 5th - 8th grade (so ages 9 - 14)
