Hostway Names Industry Veteran Chandler Vaughn SVP, Chief Technology and Product Officer

Vaughn will be in charge of developing and executing Hostway’s technology and product strategy to further bolster its position as a leader in hosting mission critical applications.

Vaughn was most recently Chief Product and Technology Officer for managed services and SaaS company FATHOM. Prior to joining FATHOM, he was the CTO and Senior Vice President of Codero Hosting, where he launched an on-demand hybrid cloud that allows fully automated, scalable provisioning and inter-networking of cloud and dedicated hosting software. Earlier in his career, he held various senior management positions at Rackspace where he helped spearhead the eventual formation of OpenStack, the world’s first free and open-sourced cloud-computing platform now leveraged by a wide array of SaaS companies to provide their services.
Vaughn launched the first ever recovery cloud and recovery automation services for the enterprise, state, local and municipal markets, and served as the founder and head of the Cloud Computing Research Center at The University of Texas at Austin. He is currently named as inventor on several pending patents for Distributed Block Storage and Distributed Computing.
