Jaw-dropping. This film lifts the veil on a deadly epidemic that is warping the American experience.

Multicom Entertainment Group, Inc., a global distribution company founded by veteran TV executive Irv Holender, has acquired rights to Speed Demons: Killing for Attention, and will showcase the feature documentary at LA Screenings 2018, an independent television market held annually after the NY Upfronts. The explosive new documentary, produced by High Speed Films, LLC, examines the link between prescription stimulants and school violence.

“Multicom is pleased to add Speed Demons: Killing for Attention to the line-up of quality content our company will be showcasing at LA Screenings this year,” announced Niloo Badie, Vice President of Sales at Multicom. “To continue growing our extensive catalog of factual media, we are constantly on the lookout for timely and poignant documentaries. Speed Demons: Killing for Attention tackles two pressing topics at precisely the right moment in our national discourse.”

“We are thrilled to partner with Multicom, a first-rate content distributor, to engage a wider audience and foster an urgently needed conversation about both the prescription drug epidemic and school violence in America,” commented Andrew Thibault, President of High Speed Films, LLC and director of Speed Demons: Killing for Attention. “Many parents don’t realize prescription stimulants given to their kids before sending them off to school have a homicidal warning on the label.”

"Jaw-dropping,” said psychiatrist and New York Times bestselling author Dr. Kelly Brogan, M.D. of Speed Demons: Killing for Attention. “This film lifts the veil on a deadly epidemic that is warping the American experience.”

Blending authentic footage, chilling firsthand accounts, authoritative expert commentary and never-before-seen FDA reports obtained in a freedom of information lawsuit, Speed Demons: Killing for Attention explores the until now hidden nexus between prescription medications and school shootings.

Taking place in Los Angeles, California from May 15-18, 2018 at the Intercontinental Hotel Los Angeles in Century City, LA Screenings is an independent television market held annually after the NY Upfronts, attracting over 1,000 top-level television content buyers from all over the world who travel the globe to Los Angeles for screenings from independent companies and major studios.
