Author Rita Demmar’s Newly Released “Hell and Power” Details the Ordeal of a Patient Suffering from Pain Who Had to Endure the Incompetence of Healthcare Providers
MEADVILLE, Pa. (PRWEB) May 15, 2018 -- “Hell and Power”: the medical nightmare of a young wife and mother. “Hell and Power” is the creation of published author, Rita Demmar. Rita joined the convent to become a nun at the age of fourteen, but she left a year later due to poor health. After a year, she went on to work at a polio clinic during the polio epidemic. Rita was married when she was seventeen and a half. She and her former husband had four children. Rita raised her family by herself after her husband chose to leave the marriage. Rita became the president of the parent and teachers association while her children were in grade school, was involved in her church as a member of the Catholic Women’s League, and ran for Town Council. Afterwards, Rita became an esthetician and worked by herself for a number of years on a part-time basis until she decided to follow her passion: writing. Rita became a writer, author, and publisher in the year 2005 when she published her first book, “The Golden Staircase.”
“But were they what we could call conscientious doctors? During the course of her illness she often asked herself if and when some doctors had reached the pinnacle of their success, if they had not also reached the height of incompetence. As it was apparent in her case.” --Rita Demmar
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Rita Demmar’s new book is a powerful, horrifying, and inconceivable story that could happen to anyone.
“Hell and Power” details events that should never have happened, but did. All throughout her illness, a young, twenty-eight-year-old wife and mother of four children suffered unimaginable experiences at the hands of her doctors and a hospital. Thanks to their incompetence, lack of professionalism, and inaccurate diagnosis, she was forced to endure suffering from incorrect medication, lengthy treatments, and unnecessary hospitalizations. She was further subjected to various “faux pas” of medicine, humiliation, and unneeded “shock treatments,” along with lengthy periods away from her family, constant pain, and prolonged periods of sedation. Her pain was real and not imagined as they all believed.
At the height of her health crisis, author Rita Demmar turned to God. If she was to live, she realized that He would be her only salvation. God was her strength and her guidance. What transpired in her past will leave readers shaken to the core. It will leave them wanting to hear more about God and how this patient was helped. In addition to recounting what she experienced during a crucial period in her life, Rita writes about her brief encounter with death and the message she received from God. With her story and book finally out, her soul may well finally be healed. Rita has always known that God wanted her to write this book.
