Author Israel Vela’s Newly Released “Life by Candle” is a Story of Hard Times, the Love of a Family, and Faith
MEADVILLE, Pa. (PRWEB) May 15, 2018 -- “Life by Candle”: an account about a man and his family as they struggled to survive in hard times. “Life by Candle” is the creation of published author, Israel Vela. Vela was born in Weslaco, Texas. He attended Weslaco High School/Vocational then joined the US Army. He fought in the Vietnam war, returned, got married, and moved to Houston, Texas. He bought a home through the Veterans Affairs and he has not moved since. He and his wife, Adelina, have two sons. The oldest is Sgt. Rene Vela and he is a police officer in Galveston, Texas. His other son is Israel Vela Jr. He works for GV Marine doing all their purchasing in Houston, Texas. He and Adelina have three grandsons and three granddaughters. Israel dedicates his book to his mother and father, Maria D. Vela and Fred F. Vela Jr.

One day the life of author Israel Vela started to flash before his eyes. Even though his parents struggled throughout most of his childhood, he treasured every moment they experienced. He loved his family beyond words. “Life by Candle” is the story that happened to Israel Vela and his family. Israel’s father served in the US Air Force, Army, and National Guard. Every time his father returned to his family, he worked while he was at home. The family moved around Texas a great deal. It always depended on where he served. He tried his best to keep his family together and hide the truth of their struggles.
As a boy throughout the time of his family’s ordeal, Israel was never told the truth about his father and their lifestyle. All he understood was that they experienced very hard times. He never wanted to think about those things, but those things did happen, along with a bunch of other things. Israel Vela himself is not perfect, just someone who has been through a great deal. He flew out of a car, saw a UFO, got beaten up, had an out-of-body experience, was run over by a car, survived cancer, and suffered a heart attack, yet he is still here and that is all that matters. Despite it all, Israel Vela still has faith in Jesus Christ.
