Gary L. Sage Sr.’s New Book “Memoirs of a Mortician” is a Riveting Book about the Life of a Simple Man-turned-mortician and His Enthralling Life
RATHDRUM, Idaho (PRWEB) May 15, 2018 -- Gary L. Sage Sr., a former rodeo cowboy, Air Force vet, and mortician, has completed his new book “Memoirs of a Mortician”: an evoking book on the many interesting circumstances of a mortician in his job.
Author Sage shows the essence of loving one’s chosen line of work: “On another occasion, I was in the back room, embalming as usual, when the manager came busting through the prep room door with his eyes as large as they could be, his face beet-red, and a hastily puffed cigarette dangling out of the corner of his mouth like The Joker on the Batman series. He was almost completely out of breath! I asked him what in the world was going on, to which he answered, between gasps, ‘That women—that crazy woman! She brought in the clothing for her mother, and when I noticed that there was no underclothing, I brought it to her attention. She said, "Oh, my mother never wore underclothing and I don’t either." And she proceeded to hike up her dress and say, "See? I don’t either!” It was more than I could take, so I excused myself and came back here to cool off!’”
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Gary L. Sage Sr.’s engrossing tale follows the author’s enigmatic and sometimes amusing moments with the dead and the living.
Readers who wish to experience this intriguing work can purchase “Memoirs of a Mortician” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble.
