Our goal with the SAFe DevOps course is to empower individuals at the team and program levels within a company to understand core DevOps and Continuous Delivery competencies.

Scaled Agile, Inc., provider of SAFe®, the world’s leading framework for enterprise agility, today announced its latest course, SAFe® DevOps with SAFe® 4 DevOps Practitioner certification. The two-day course provides a comprehensive overview of DevOps competencies as enablers of Continuous Delivery. They help align development and operations, processes, and technologies throughout an organization in order to produce shorter lead times, fewer defects, and faster time-to-market. Registration information and dates are available here.

As companies encounter the effects of digital disruption, DevOps has emerged as a powerful unifying tool to help ensure alignment around business and sales goals, development, and operations. When properly aligned, companies can bring products to market in shorter development cycles and with greater dependability. Once implemented, DevOps enables high-performing teams to achieve both faster throughput and better stability.

“Our goal with the SAFe® DevOps course is to empower individuals at the team and program levels within a company to understand core DevOps and Continuous Delivery competencies,” said Inbar Oren, DevOps Product Owner, Scaled Agile. “This involves everyone along the delivery pipeline, from ‘concept to cash,’ to improve practices that will eliminate bottlenecks. This course is designed for attendees of all ability levels, and every participant will leave with the tools they need to successfully build and execute an implementation plan to improve their delivery pipeline.”

The SAFe® DevOps course allows attendees to build an understanding of the complete flow of value from Continuous Exploration to Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Release on Demand, as well as applying the concepts of Continuous Security. The course helps identify practices that eliminate bottlenecks to flow and will accelerate time-to-market.

Participants will also explore SAFe’s CALMR (Culture, Automation, Lean flow, Measurement, Recovery) approach to DevOps, which helps create a culture of shared responsibility for the full spectrum of solution delivery. Together, they help align people, processes, and technology throughout the organization to achieve faster time-to-market.

The course will prepare attendees for the SAFe® 4 DevOps Practitioner (SDP) certification exam. Attendees will also receive a one-year membership to the SAFe Community Platform.

With the addition of SAFe® DevOps with SAFe® 4 DevOps Practitioner certification, Scaled Agile’s portfolio now includes eight professional credentials designed to meet the needs of Lean-Agile professionals throughout their career as they practice, consult, or train others in SAFe.
