Evans Capacitor Company Wins SBA Subcontractor of the Year Award
EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (PRWEB) May 11, 2018 -- Evans Capacitor Company of East Providence, RI has been selected by the US Small Business Administration as the Small Business Subcontractor of the Year for 2018. Evans Capacitor develops and manufactures high power, high energy density capacitors for defense and aerospace systems. Evans products are specified where size, weight, and power (SWaP) are critical constraints. Evans was nominated for this prestigious award by Lockheed Martin. Evans was named a Platinum Preferred Supplier to LMCo, Missiles and Fire Control in 2009 and has participated on a number of programs as supplier and subcontractor to LMCo, MFC, as well as other Lockheed Martin divisions. Evans provides unique capacitor solutions to all tier 1 and tier 2 defense contractors, as well as to commercial aerospace, energy exploration, and other specialty markets world-wide.
Evans Capacitor Company was founded in 1996 to pursue unique capacitor technology developed by David Evans. Mr. Evans has over 20 patents related to capacitor technologies over the past 25 years including the groundbreaking “Hybrid” technology for tantalum wet capacitors. These EVANSCAPS utilize tantalum pentoxide anodes combined with an RuO2 cathode to provide a very high power density.
