High-Hand Nursery & Sacramento Valley Garden Railway Society Presents Train Day at Maple Rock Gardens
NEWCASTLE, Calif. (PRWEB) May 14, 2018 -- Mark your calendars for Train Day, a garden railroad event presented by Sacramento Area’s High-Hand Nursery and the Sacramento Valley Garden Railway Society. Come watch the miniature Maple Rock train system snake its way around the enchanting Secret Garden, Turtle Falls, the Peony forest, and other numerous attractions at Maple Rock Gardens. Maple Rock Gardens is a 30-year old estate garden owned and operated by High-Hand Nursery in Loomis. It is home to one of the largest G scale garden railroads in California and it is also where High-Hand Nursery tests various plants for dependability, beauty, and ease of care. Tucked away on 30-acres of land dotted with Japanese Maples, ferns, irises, dogwoods, formal English gardens, water features, roses, lavender, and more, this garden railroad is sure to impress train hobbyists, avid gardeners, and the general public alike. This event includes food and drinks for purchase, live music, and free parking. Train Day is an event everyone will enjoy.
Maple Rock Gardens is located at 100 Clark Tunnel Road in Newcastle. High-Hand Cafe is open Tuesday through Friday from 11 am. to 3 pm. and Saturday through Sunday from 9 am. to 3 pm.
Guests at High-Hand Nursery can also shop the stores at the historic High-Hand Fruit Shed on the premises.
