Real estate agents constantly wanted to show off the neighborhood as it’s a huge selling point. It was clear that we needed to offer something that would help them do this. We have to keep up with what sells, and right now what sells is where the listing is located.

HomeJab, a tech company specializing in media production for the real estate industry, has created packages to incorporate neighborhood video and photos into real estate listings. These packages, called Neighborhood Only and Neighborhood and Listing, include photos and video. These packages were created to fit the demands of real estate professionals looking to highlight the surrounding area.

Joe Jesuele, HomeJab’s founder, explains the need to offer these packages, “Real estate agents constantly wanted to show off the neighborhood as it’s a huge selling point. It was clear that we needed to offer something that would help them do this. We have to keep up with what sells, and right now what sells is where the listing is located.”

Homebuyers are factoring neighborhood quality into where they purchase. The necessity for highlighting a neighborhood became clear when real estate professionals began to regularly request it. In a 2013 NAR survey, 78% of homebuyers responded that neighborhood quality is more important than the size of the home. Walkability and nearby restaurants, shops, and more, is a huge selling point even more now than in 2013.

Daniel Pieczkolon, recent homebuyer, comments, “I chose the neighborhood before I knew what I wanted in a home. When I saw listings that showed their proximity to my favorite places I was immediately intrigued.”

The Neighborhood and Listing package will consist of 30 property photos, 1 walk-through video that contains neighborhood footage, 10 neighborhood photos, and a free property website. The Neighborhood Only package will consist of 10 neighborhood photos, 1 neighborhood video, and a free property website. Both packages will give the purchaser the ability to choose 3 locations to be featured in the video and photos. The new packages are available now in all HomeJab service areas and can be found for purchase on HomeJab’s website.
