ATLANTA (PRWEB) May 14, 2018
The Women In Technology (WIT) leadership team is proud to announce GE Digital as presenting sponsor for WIT Connect 2018 - a fundraising and networking event designed to support the advancement of girls and women in science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) education and careers.
GE, the leading digital industrial company, is committed to transforming communities and shaping the diverse workforce of tomorrow.
“GE Digital is happy to support WIT Connect 2018. As GE is transforming into a Digital Industrial, we welcome the opportunity to support an event that aims for a diverse and inclusive technology workforce of the future. We admire the work that WIT is doing in the community to ignite the minds of girls and women in STEAM-related careers,” said Habib Sarkis, Senior VP Chief Technology Officer.
“We are extremely delighted to have the support of GE Digital for this year’s WIT Connect. WIT is excited to work with an organization that is making a measurable impact to change the trajectory of girls and women in STEAM careers. We look forward to a lasting relationship with the GE Digital team,” said Sandy Welfare, WIT Executive Director.
In addition to the presentation of scholarships to WIT Girls and WIT Campus students, WIT Connect will feature several female leaders in STEAM. Rhonda Vetere, President of nThrive, will deliver the keynote and Dana Barrett, TV & radio personality, will return to emcee the event for the second year in a row.
The signature fundraising and networking event features several opportunities to raise funds to support the next generation of female STEAM leaders - including an executive auction in which individuals can bid to get exclusive one-on-one time with business leaders at top Atlanta companies.
Several sponsorship opportunities are still available for the event.
