BugReplay Announces Integration with Inflectra for Bug Reporting of Web Applications
NEW YORK (PRWEB) May 15, 2018 -- BugReplay, a provider of an innovative set of web browser tools that make reporting bugs faster and fixing them easier, today announced a new integration of its flagship product with Inflectra, a software provider for effectively managing software development lifecycles. The integration seamlessly connects Inflectra’s SpiraTeam suite of applications for software development, testing and management with BugReplay’s screencast and network debugging tool, which enables users to quickly and accurately submit detailed bug reports about web applications.
“We are thrilled to integrate BugReplay with Inflectra’s suite of products and help their thousands of users save time and alleviate frustration when reporting bugs found on websites and in web apps,” said BugReplay founder and CTO Sam Kaufman. “BugReplay makes it simple and easy to consistently reproduce a bug, comprehensively document the bug and then provide developers and testers with a clear picture of what the user is seeing to clearly understand what is going on. It’s a key tool for helping developers, testers and DevOps managers make software better.”
BugReplay reduces the time to complete the task of bug reporting of typically up to an hour or more to less than a minute. Once a bug is identified, BugReplay creates a synchronized screen recording of a user’s actions, network traffic, JavaScript logs and other key data. Its captures all environmental data about a bug reporter’s browser, operating system, locale, date and time of the report, time zone, system memory and other information and sends a video clip to developers and testers for resolving.
“We are excited about the integration between SpiraTeam and BugReplay,” said Adam Sandman, Inflectra’s director of technology. “We have found that developers and testers often struggle to get on the same page when looking at problems, and the seamlessly integrated BugReplay video capture will help shorten the timeframes for resolving issues. The increased efficiency and effectiveness of the combined solution will be compelling to our users who care about quality.”
With the BugReplay integration, all users have to do is click “record” in BugReplay and then retrace their steps that led to the problem, click on the “record” button again to stop recording, and then choose the option to send the recording to SpiraTeam. By recording multiple streams of information and then playing them back simultaneously in an integrated video player, BugReplay reproduces in a video clip what developers would see if they had encountered the problem first-hand. Developers and testers using SpiraTeam then automatically receive the BugReplay video bug report.
BugReplay is available as a stand-alone product as well as an extension for the Google Chrome web browser and as a Firefox add-on. As a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), BugReplay is offered as a monthly subscription; its pricing is based on frequency of use. SpiraTeam is available as either a SaaS subscription or as an on-premise solution that can be deployed locally.
Inflectra, which was recently named to Gartner’s “Magic Quadrant” for enterprise agile planning tools, is BugReplay’s fifth integration with a major software development and project management platform. BugReplay also integrates with GitHub, a web-based hosting service for version control in software development; JIRA, an issue tracking product developed by Atlassian; Slack, a cloud-based set of team collaboration tools and services; and Zendesk, a provider of a suite of products focused on improving customer service.
