New England publication’s editors choose Donut Crazy as best in the state

Donut Crazy, a local eatery specializing in unique donut flavors (lovingly called Dailies and Crazies), today announced that it has won editor’s choice for “Best Doughnuts” in Yankee Magazine’s May/June issue.

Yankee Magazine, a bi-monthly publication, is focused primarily on New England travel, food, and home. Its May/June 2018 issue—titled “Travel Guide to New England”—includes editor picks for the best attractions, lodging, and dining in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

The magazine selected Donut Crazy as the best in its category for Connecticut, beating out a number of competitors in the state. As Yankee puts it, “Donut Crazy has achieved doughnut domination by constantly unleashing new flavors with wow-factor taste and visual appeal.”

Donut Crazy’s diverse menu includes 45 varieties of donuts baked daily, from classic staples like Glazed and Chocolate Frosted to inventive confections like the Cannoli—Food Network’s pick for best donut in CT—and the appropriately blue-colored Kookie Monster.

“We are delighted to be included in Yankee Magazine’s list of places to eat in New England,” said Jason Wojnarowski, founder and owner of Donut Crazy. “Customers come in all the time saying they made a special trip just for that month’s novelty flavors, and we love that kind of loyalty and excitement. Donut Crazy has current locations in Shelton, New Haven, Westport, and Stratford, with another full-service, sit-down store opening this summer in West Hartford.
