Criterion Claim Solutions of Omaha, Inc., a nationwide third-party insurance claims administrator, is proud to announce the expansion of its office in the Landmark Center in the historic Old Market neighborhood of downtown Omaha. Criterion recently added five Claims Professionals and a Claims Counsel to the Omaha team servicing its family of insurance clients. Criterion now has more per-person experience in handling and litigating insurance disputes than any other independent administrator in the Midwest.

Criterion is a full-service claims administrator for insurance carriers (including risk retention groups), self-insureds, managing general underwriters, agents, and governments and municipalities. They handle every type of dispute under policies of commercial transportation (including third-party liability, physical damage and cargo), general liability, and specialized lines (including garage, liquor and premises liability, and D&O and E&O policies). They manage reserves, analyze loss trends, evaluate underwriting guidelines, and advise on the effective use of policy endorsements. Criterion’s services are tailored to each client’s specific needs and cover every aspect of insurance, from pre-policy and risk-assessment guidance to efficient resolution, always with the goal of writing profitable insurance and minimizing losses.

Criterion opened its office doors on August 1, 2016. Thomas Mulligan, an entrepreneur with three decades of insurance experience, had concluded that the existing independent claims administrators were either too small to provide a full stable of services or too large to do so efficiently, so he decided to do it differently. He hired insurance claims veteran Dona (White) Anderson to lead the new company as President, and together they created the new Criterion template and recruited top insurance professionals, executives and attorneys to implement it. The recent additions bring Criterion’s Omaha team to over four-dozen Claims Professionals and four Claims Counsel attorneys to provide insurance services in all fifty states. Criterion recently hired Clint McCord, a national commercial and insurance attorney with two decades of experience in top law firms, to serve as its General Counsel.
