When the Des Moines Marriott hotel went through a recent modernization, Senior Manager of Room Operations, Abby Fritz, discovered an immediate challenge in the newly designed bathrooms with sliding glass shower doors. Due to very tight spaces between the glass and rails, not even a single wiper could be used to clean the rollers, both sides of the chrome track and inside of the glass doors. Fritz immediately turned to her partner umf Corporation – which happened to have a representative on-site at the time training her room attendants – to help solve the problem.
“The new shower doors looked beautiful, but we needed a feasible solution to clean between the doors and frame,” said Fritz. “Baldwin Galan from umf Corporation took pictures and emailed them to the company's home office, where they prioritized finding a solution. In fact, we had the first working prototype in just two days. We are thrilled with the resulting product, which enables us to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness our guests expect.”
