Ricardo Solar Joins The NPD Group as Senior Vice President of Video Entertainment
PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. (PRWEB) May 16, 2018 -- Global information provider The NPD Group, today announced Ricardo Solar has been hired as senior vice president of the company’s physical and digital Video Entertainment practice. Based in NPD’s Hollywood, California office, Solar brings with him many years of strategic experience across several different industries, including video entertainment and toys.

Prior to joining NPD, Ricardo held several roles at Sony Pictures Entertainment, including vice president of sales and vice president of sales planning. He helped launch the Independent Film Distribution division at Sony Picture Home Entertainment, leading the commercial teams in charge of distributing independent film content from 24 labels across online and brick-and-mortar retailers. Before joining Sony, Solar spent five years as a client development partner for Kantar, and 12 years at Mattel in various US and International brand marketing, customer marketing, and brand merchandising roles
